13 new OPP officers join Central Region

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Central Region is home to 13 provincial constables who graduated Thursday, June 23, 2022 after completing their training at the Ontario Police College in Aylmer and the Academy of the Ontario Provincial Police in Orillia.

The 13 new officers, part of Class 496, join the Central Region with diverse backgrounds and experience, and are committed to working collaboratively with our communities to prevent crime and improve public safety.

The new provincial gendarmes have been deployed in the following detachments:

Caledon – 1 officer

City of Kawartha Lakes – 3 officers

Collingwood – 2 officers

Dufferin – 1 officer

Haliburton Highlands – 1 officer

Huntsville – 1 officer

Northumberland – 1 officer

Orillia – 3 officers
