Srinagar, June 24 (IANS): The Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act 2013 (Act 30 of 2013) was made applicable to the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, officials said Friday.
“The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has prepared Draft Rules in the exercise of powers conferred by Section 109 of the said Act which have been published in accordance with Section 112 of the said Act, for the information of all persons likely to be affected by it; and notice is understood that the said draft regulations will be taken into consideration after the expiry of a period of 15 days from the date of publication in the official journal. settlement is available on the official IRS website,” a statement said.
Any objection or suggestion which may be received from any person with respect to the said draft rules within the period so specified shall be considered by the government.
“Objections or suggestions, if any, can be sent to the Commissioner’s Secretary, Department of Revenue, Civil Secretariat, Jammu/Srinagar on mail ID: [email protected],” the statement added.
