One dead, 8 injured in 3 separate accidents in the Center region

One person was confirmed dead, while eight others suffered varying degrees of injury in three separate crashes in the Central region.

The incidents all happened when the victims were returning from different resorts after Easter Monday celebrations.

Adom News’ Kofi Adjei reported that the first accident happened after a motorbike collided head-on with a taxi on Winneba Road.

According to the police, the motorcyclist died instantly, leaving two people seriously injured.

A few hours later, a second accident is recorded in Gomoa Potsin.

A Toyota saloon car and a pickup truck collided, injuring two.

Later in the day, three people returning from Gomoa Fetteh beach were seriously injured after the driver lost control of his car and crashed into a ditch.

According to eyewitnesses, the driver of a tank truck registered as GW 3024-16, furious at the reckless driving of the taxi driver, decided to chase him.

During the chase, his vehicle veered off the road and fell into a ditch on the side of the road, injuring three of the commuters returning from the beach.

Meanwhile, victims of the Gomoa Mampong crash have been sent to Winneba Trauma Hospital, while other victims have been taken to nearby health facilities.
