Sharjah’s SEWA provides services to 12 projects in the central region

SHARJAH – The Central Region Department of the Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA) has completed a number of development projects including the installation of 1,034 light poles in a number of regions and branches in the central region, including the lighting of Suhaila road, and a number of projects in the areas of Al-Washa, Al-Bustan, Fali and Mleiha, Tal Al-Zafaran and Shawka road, as part of development projects that serve residents and keep drivers safe on the roads.

SEWA has also completed the maintenance of 294 light poles in different areas including Al-Madam, Fali, Al Dhaid and Taibah.

Khalifa Muhammad Al-Tunaiji, director of the central region department at the Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority, explained that during the first quarter of 2021, electricity utilities were connected to 12 projects and that the electric cables were extended in different districts.

The Statistical Report for the first quarter of 2021 indicates that SEWGA is working on setting up two distribution stations (33 kV) in Nizwa and Al Dhaid regions, as well as improving the networks in the two regions. .

In the next phase, SEWGA will work to implement a number of development projects related to networks and distribution stations in cities in the central region, with the aim of realizing its cooperative development plan. with all government agencies.

Work has been contracted for a weather station to provide climate information for studies on renewable, wind and solar energy projects.
